Make It Sexy: Marvel Rivals
The Game
Marvel Rivals is a hero-based PVP Third Person Shooter a-la Overwatch with a cast of characters from Marvel comics and movies. It was developed and published by NetEase Games and released cross-platform on Dec. 5, 2024. This isn't their first copycat game however. They've also released Blood Strike (a battle royale game), Lost Light (a loot shooter not unlike Tarkov or The Division), and others. The biggest difference between Marvel Rivals and those games seems to be that people actually enjoy this one. Which is surprising to me strictly from a gameplay perspective.
With the the 2 week car crash that was Sony's Concord, and Blizzard's embarrassing blunders around Overwatch 2, I thought we had finally reached peak hero-shooter. But it seems that was just wishful thinking. We're now poised get a second wave of imitators thanks to Marvel's characters, the modding scene, and of course the insane volume of porn being with these character models.
I hold the same conspiracy theory about Marvel Rivals that I do about Overwatch. I believe with my entire being that not only did Blizzard make it easy for their character models to be exported for the use of porn, I believe employees of Blizzard made a fair bit of the porn themselves as guerilla marketing for the game. It worked then and I think it's going to work now.
The Baseline
Marvel Rivals come out the gate already reasonably sexy. Superheroes are, for the most part, sexy. The comic book influenced art style accentuates curves and muscles, but unfortunately there aren't many different bodytypes. The women all have the same body, except Magik is like 3% more muscular, and Squirrel Girl is 3% more thicc. The men are all pretty much otter-mode other than some outliers like Wolverine and The Punisher who are Gears of War level CHONKY. The non-human characters are obvious exceptions to this, but that's basically just Jeff. That said if you're into slim women and average to chonky men then there's still plenty to appreciate.
The Mods
First a Warning:
There are rumors going around that using mods can get you banned from the game. I haven't spent a single cent on it so I don't care if it happens to me, but if you care about the status of your account, you may want to stick with just watching the porn it's spawned.
All mods were found in in the typical place for games this size, Nexus Mods. All mods shown here will be linked, and additionally I will be archiving each of them in case they get deleted or removed from Nexus. If that happens I'll upload them and provide mirror links. I've learned my lesson regarding counting on mod links to live forever.
While the game is still relatively new, there are already a ton of mods available, with at least a few horny ones getting added each day. Everyone from Shadow the Hedgehog to Art the Clown is possible. Even Ariana Grande has stopped over from Fortnite to say hello. I believe the second greatest asset to Marvel Rivals will be the ability to swap in characters from Fortnite, since they both use Unreal. (The first greatest asset is, as previously explained, the porn).

It really brings a tear to my eye when I think about how far we've come in the category of nude male mods. You used to be lucky to get a shirtless character. Whereas nowadays, you have both erect AND flaccid options for multiple characters only a few days after launch!
Sure right now a lot of the nude male mods amount to them pulling their dong out of the fly of their costume, but there's something kind of great about that you know? Imagine Tony Stark in all his crop-top armored glory fighting you while his meat just out there swingin'. You know he probably has some sort of nanotech armor or a force field, he just wanted to defeat you while while rockin' a chubby fiver.
Its insane that the dicks made by a modder across these 4 men are more diverse than their bodytypes made by the dang studio itself.

There's still no nude mod for Wolverine as of writing this overview, but you can bet I'll be one of the first to install. I know that thang is gonna be dragging on the ground while he runs.

As previously stated, most of the women in this game have the same bodytype, and the ones wearing more form-fitting clothing almost all have capes. I can't hate on a superhero game for involving capes, but when it's a TPS and the only part of my character that I get to see is their back, it's a little boring. Mods to the rescue!
There are multiple mods to increase various characters' voluptuousness, add jiggle physics, many of which offer capeless options.
There are mods to make some of the characters naked or topless. I'm a really big fan of the Magic nude mod. Both because she's the most fun to play, and running into battle butt ass naked with a giant sword fulfills my berserker longings. Also a big fan of how things line up with the victory screen. Leaves a little for the imagination.

Nude Jeff mod gives Jeff a dong. Or so I've heard, as far as I can tell all it adds is this little bump. Maybe that's what shark dongs look like I really don't know.
Already Hundreds More
Mods are coming out for this game at a lightning pace. If you're reading this right now, there's a good chance that there's already significantly more horny mods, on top of the literal hundreds of mods to do things like add Batman, or replace Luna Snow's ult with Mariah Carrey's All I Want For Christmas Is You.
Parting Thoughts
The mods are plentiful, the mod manager is super streamlined and easy to use, and the game is free. There's really only one downside, and it's that in the true nature of an Overwatch clone, there's so much visual noise at all times on the screen that in the actual gameplay, it's rare that you get a moment to stop and enjoy the view. It's a little too hectic for that.
